Forsyth could be a town in and therefore the seat of Rosebud County, Montana, u. S.. Forsyth was established in 1876 because the initial settlement on the river, and in 1882 residents named the city when General James William Forsyth WHO commanded Fort Maginnis, Montana throughout the Indian Wars and therefore the seventh Cavalry at the Wounded Knee Massacre. The city has long been a transportation nexus, beginning with steamboats on the watercourse and about to the Northern Pacific Railway and interstate ninety four.According to the u. S. Agency, town features a total space of one.1 sq. Miles (2.8Square Kilometer), all of it land.
