The Folgefonna Tunnel is a 11,150 meters (36,580 ft) long road tunnel which connects Eitrheim and the head of Sørfjorden in Odda to the head of Maurangsfjorden in Kvinnherad, Norway, running under Folgefonna. The tunnel opened in 2001 and is Norway’s third longest road tunnel. It reduced travel Time from four hours to ten minutes on the section. It is part of National Road 551.
