Flamingo is AN unorganized community and town in Monroe County, Florida, us. It began as atiny low coastal settlement on the jap finish of Cape Sable on the southern tip of the Sunshine State terra firma, facing Sunshine State Bay. It’s currently the southmost headquarters of swampland park, the top of the 99-mile (159-km) geographic region Waterway called the 10 Thousand Islands, and therefore the southern finish of the sole road (running thirty eight miles / sixty one km) through the park from Sunshine State town.
After the top of the Seminole Wars there have been scattered settlements on Cape Sable, as well as at wading bird. The settlers created a living by providing fish, contemporary vegetables and charcoal to town.
