Detail InformationEdit

Not many museums can say they’ve been open since 1820! Located in the historic Royal Arsenal – which was a well-kept secret for more than 300 years – The Royal Artillery Museum begins with the frighteningly realistic Field of Fire show, putting you in the middle of a battle, and takes you all the way through to guns used in the Gulf War.
From Gibraltar to the Gulf, since 1716 the Royal Artillery has seen action worldwide. Firepower tells the story of the men and women who served the guns and the technology on which their lives depended. Located in the historic Royal Arsenal, the World’s centre for munitions manufacture, Firepower takes you from slingshot to supergun, starting in the Field of Fire, where big screens, dramatic surround sound and moving eye-witness accounts illuminate the conflicts of the 20th Century.
