Faridkot is a city in the state of Punjab in the district of Faridkot. The city was a princely state before independence and has a rich history as well. The region is very old and civilizations have been found that date back to the Indus Valley period. There are many interesting sites and places that one can visit in the region. The Gurudwara Baba Farid is an old building and it is important for many Sikhs across the country. A large number of tourists and devotees can be seen in the place and followers of the Sikh religion offer prayers in this place every Thursday. Another religious site in the city is the Gurudwara Godari Sahib. One of the most famous tourist places in the city of Faridkot is an old fort that is known as the Qilla Mubarak. The fort is an impressive building and the architecture is phenomenal as well. An exquisite garden is maintained inside the fort complex. Raj Mahal is a palace that is located in the city and is a heritage building. The palace has now been turned into a hospital. Darbar Gank, Check Tower and Fairy Cottage are other places that are worth visiting in the city.

Faridkot is a small city and a municipal council in Faridkot district in the state of Punjab. Darbar Ganj This beautiful bungalow is a well laid out garden place.Faridkot experiences extreme temperatures, and climatic conditions are uncomfortable for many parts of the year. Summers are especially hot and visiting during this period might not be advisable. Monsoon season is short and this is the only time of year that the place receives rainfall. Winters are extremely cold and temperatures can plummet rapidly. The months of October and November form the post monsoon season and the conditions are pleasant as the temperatures begin to reduce substantially. This is the best time to visit the place.

By Train : Faridkot has a railway station that is connected to places such as Jaipur, New Delhi, Ferozpur and Bathinda. Train travel is relatively easy and trains are a popular option, where tickets have to be booked around twomonths in advance. Second class tickets from New Delhi to Faridkot cost around Rs 200.
By Bus : States such as Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and many cities in Punjab are connected to the city of Faridkot by bus. Tickets from Amritsar cost around Rs 50.
