Formally called Fairview field memorial park, the non-denominational memorial park is go by the Parks Department of the provincial capital Regional Municipality.
Fairview field memorial park is found within the North finish of provincial capital at the Northern finish of Windsor Street. It’s edged by the Saint John Anglican memorial park on one aspect and also the Baron First State Hirsch memorial park on another.
A fastness was designed at the location within the decennary to shield provincial capital from attacks by the Mi’kmaq individuals. The land was afterwards developed as little farms. In 1893, the land was nonheritable by a non-public company, the Fairview field memorial park restricted, for a non-denominational memorial park as a result of the Camp Hill memorial park within the centre of the town was running out of space. The town of provincial capital took over the memorial park in 1944. Fairview contains a cross section of provincial capital’s twentieth century residents together with a Greek section and a Chinese section further as a mass grave of victims from the Halifax Explosion and plenty of different graves.
