Fairmount graveyard in capital of Colorado, Colorado was based in 1890 and is Denver’s second oldest operational graveyard once Riverside graveyard. It absolutely was designed by German landscaper Reinhard Schuetze. The graveyard is 280 acres with over 3800 trees.
The cemetery contains many fine monuments, as well as works by parliamentarian Garrison, John Paulding, Arnold Ronnebeck, Pompeo Coppini et al.
The graveyard conjointly contains three structures that are selected as official historic landmarks by the town of Denver: the limited vine Chapel, the Gate Lodge, and therefore the Fairmount Mausoleum. The limited vine Chapel and therefore the Gate Lodge were each made in 1890, the year the graveyard opened, and were designed by creator Henry 10 van Eyck Wendell. The Fairmount burial chamber, made in 1929 and opened in 1930, was designed by architects Frederick E. Mountjoy and Francis W. Frewan.
