Evanston is a modest residential neighbourhood in the north-west quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is a starter community, located at the northern outskirts of the city. It is bounded to the west by Symons Valley Road and to the south by Stoney Trail. To the north it is bordered by Rocky View County. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by Ward 2 Alderman Gord Lowe.In 2009 the neighbourhood had a population of 4,599.
