Escárcega may be a tiny town within the Mexican state of urban center the central a part of the state. The population of the town at the 2005 census was twenty seven,214 people, the fourth largest community within the state. The town is the executive centre for the encircling municipality of a similar name, which has the town and its backwoods. In 2005 the population of Escárcega municipality was fifty,106. Its space is four,569.64 km² (1,764.35 sq mi), which has several smaller far communities, the most important of that is named División del Norte.Escárcega is at the junction of Mexican Federal Highways 251 and 186, and is crossed by the railway that runs from Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, to urban center, Campeche. It’s a replacement town that grew up within the twentieth century with the arrival of the railways and roads. It’s named when Francisco Escárcega, a native of Tlaxcala UN agency fought within the Mexican Revolution and oversaw the development of a lot of of the rail network within the country’s southeast.
