Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church may be a historic African yank church in Mobile, Alabama. Emanuel AME began once church trustees purchased a lot for his or her church in 1869, as African yanks in Mobile established their own congregations following the American warfare. The trustees completed a frame building in this same year. The frame building was altered in 1881 once James F. Hutchisson, a regionally distinguished white creator, was employed to style a brand new facade.
