Elyria may be a town within the U.S. State of Ohio and also the seat of Lorain County. The municipality is found in northeastern Ohio at the forks of the Black watercourse. As of the 2010 census, town had a population of fifty four,533. Town is known as for its founder, Heman Ely. Town is home to Lorain County junior college.
