Elmwood burial ground could be a 412 acres (167 ha) burial ground established in 1900 (as Elm Leaf Cemetery) in Birmingham, Alabama northwest of Homewood by a gaggle of fraternal organizations. It had been renamed in 1906 and step by step eclipsed Oak Hill burial ground because the most distinguished burial place within the town. It’s a chapel mortuary at 800 Dennison Avenue Southwest that was established in 1962 by the Lackey family for Johns-Ridout’s Mortuary.
