Elkins may be a town in Randolph County, West Virginia, us. The community was incorporated in 1890 and named in honor of Stephen Benton Elkins (18411911), a U.S. Legislator from West Virginia. The population was seven,032 at the 2000 census. It’s the seat of Randolph County. Elkins is home to Davis and Elkins faculty and to the Mountain State Forest competition, control in early Oct each year.
