Detail InformationEdit
El puente del father (The Pope’s Bridge) could be a bridge situated in metropolis, Nuevo León, Mexico, across the typically dry Río Santa Catarina. It took its name once Pope John Paul II offered a Catholic mass over the bridge.A mart that is put in beneath the bridge on weekends has identical name.
Before the Pope John Paul II visited metropolis, the bridge was known as “Puente San Luisito” (St. Very little Louis’ Bridge), because it connected the “San Luisito” neighbourhood, (today, Independencia neighbourhood) with metropolis Downtown, across the Santa Catarina watercourse. The name of “Puente San Luisito” was the name of the bridge for over a century, and in barely twenty years, it’s been fully forgotten.
