Durant may be a town in Bryan County, Oklahoma, us. The population was fifteen,877 at the 2010 census. Will {durant|William James Durant|historian|historiographer} is that the principal town of the Durant Micropolitan applied math space, that had a population of forty two,416 in 2010. Historian ranks because the second largest town inside the Choctaw Nation, following town, and earlier than Poteau. The town was supported by Dixon historian, a Choctaw WHO lived within the space, once the MK&T railroad came through the Indian Territory within the early decennary. It became the seat of Bryan County in 1907 once American state statehood. Historian is home to Southeastern American state State University and therefore the headquarters of the Choctaw Nation of American state. The town is formally called the Magnolia Capital of American state.
