The Alexandre Dumas|writer|author} whorehouse (formerly the Dumas Hotel) was a renowned whorehouse in Butte, American state within the u. S.. Set within the heart of uptown Butte, the whoredom|house of ill repute|bawdyhouse|cathouse|sporting house|building|edifice} has been declared America’s longest running house of prostitution. In fact, the author (pronounced doo-muhs) operated lawfully in and of itself from 1890 till 1982 and was the biggest, grandest and most generally familiar whorehouse among several set in Butte’s thriving city district. The building is one in all several Butte edifices listed on the National Register of Historic Places, a testament to its lasting historical and cultural significance.
In 2008, the author whorehouse reopened when a crusade.
