Drakesbad (formerly, Drake’s Hot Springs, Drake’s Place, Hot Springs depression, And Sifford’s) is an unorganised community in Plumas County, California. It lies at AN elevation of 5705 feet (1739 m). Drakesbad is found on Hot Springs Creek, 5.5 miles (8.9 km) west of Mount Harkness. Drakesbad is probably most far-famed for the Drakesbad Guest Ranch settled there.
The place was initial referred to as Hot Springs depression, then Drake’s Place and Drake’s Hot Springs. The name honors E.R. Drake WHO settled at the place in decennary. The name Drakesbad was given once possession transferred to the Sifford family WHO substituted -bad (German for “Bath” or “spa”) for English.
The Drake post workplace operated from 1901 to 1902.
