Detail InformationEdit

A visit to this museum will take you back in time to a historic episode: the attack on Cullera by the Turkish pirate Dragut in 1550.
Legend has it that this is the cave where the exchange of prisoners took place during the attack. Children will find a tour of this cave-museum a fascinating experience, as they can see a reconstruction of a brig, old nautical instruments, pieces of artillery, maps, clothing, coins… This collection is a window into the World of pirates in the Mediterranean in the 16th century, and showcases the advances in navigation techniques which took place during this period.
