Downingtown may be a borough in city County, Pennsylvania, thirty three miles (53 km) west of Philadelphia. As of the 2010 census it had a population of seven,891. Downingtown was settled by English and European colonists within the early eighteenth century and encompasses a range of historic buildings and structures. Consistent with the u. S. Authority, the borough encompasses a total space of two.2 sq. Miles (5.7 km2), all of it land.
Downingtown Station is found on the Lincoln route and is served by each SEPTA and Amtrak.
