Downingtown may be a borough in urban center County, Pennsylvania, 33 miles (53 km) west of Philadelphia. As of the 2010 census it had a population of seven,891. Downingtown was settled by English and European colonists in the early eighteenth century and has a variety of historic buildings and structures. Per the u. S. Census Bureau, the borough incorporates a total space of two.2 sq. Miles (5.7 km2), all of it land.
