Downes ice mass may be a broad tidewater ice mass on the side of detected Island within the southern Indian Ocean. It flows north on either side of Cape Bidlingmaier to the north coast of detected Island. To the east of Downes ice mass is Ealey ice mass, whose terminus is found shut southeast of Cape Bidlingmaier. To the west of Downes ice mass is contestant ice mass, whose terminus is found at the jap facet of Corinthian Bay, shut west to Saddle purpose. Saddle purpose separates Downes ice mass from contestant ice mass.
