Doswell is AN unorganized community in Hanover County within the Central Region of the U.S. State of Virginia. Originally known as Hanover Junction, it had been set on the Virginia Central Railroad, that later became a part of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad at a crossing of the capital of Virginia, Frederic ksburg and Potomac Railroad, a busy north south route. Each railroads square measure currently owned by CSX Transportation, though the previous Virginia Central line is chartered to a short-line carrier, Buckingham Branch Railroad.
