The city of Dolores may be a Statutory city in Montezuma County, Colorado, us. The population was 936 at the 2010 census. It’s one among 3 incorporated municipalities within the county.Dolores (Spanish for “sorrow” and named for the watercourse on that it’s located) is found at the mouth of the Dolores depression and therefore the higher reaches of Mcphee Reservoir, about forty miles from the Four Corners Monument. Established as a station on the Rio Bravo Southern Railroad, it replaced the sooner city, Big Bend, currently lined by McPhee Reservoir. McPhee Reservoir is known as for an organization city based by NM Lumber Company, that’s currently lined by the reservoir.
