Dillon could be a self-rule municipality in Summit County, Colorado, u. s.. The population was 802 at the 2000 census. Dillon was engineered as a stage stop and country store on the northeast facet of the Snake|river} within the Blue River natural depression. The city was named for Tom Dillon, a mineworker. The city was incorporated in 1883.
