Delta may be a borough in royalty County, Pennsylvania, us, and one in all the southmost communities in Pennsylvania. The population was 728 at the 2010 census. Delta is at the center of the Peach Bottom Slate Region. At the Crystal Palace Exposition of 1850, Peach Bottom slate was judged the best within the World. Most of Delta’s homes still have stunning slate roofs, and remnants of the first bluish slate sidewalks still exist throughout the borough. Until 1978, Delta was served by the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad at marker forty three.8. The slate quarry was a significant freight client till 1971. The Rehoboth Welsh Chapel in Delta may be a non-denominational Christian church that holds services in Welsh and English. Its Welsh choir has won a prize at the extremely competitive Royal National fete of Wales. The Delta Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
