The city of Dausa is the district headquarters of Rajasthan state in western India. Some of the popular places of interests in Dausa are Mehandipur Balaji temple, Mataji Ka Mandir, Nilkanth Mahadev Temple and the Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.Dausa has 5 Shiva temples. The lingas in these temples belong to the medieval period. Daya Ram Sahni the archaeologist has also described a temple on the top of a hill. The tribe of Bargujars constructed a fort on top of a hill. This fort has a temple. This temple is worth seeing for its ancient architecture and its historical past. This is one of the areas that were extorted by the Kachhawah Prince Dulha Rai when he conquered the whole of Dausa, the historical city.

By Air : Flights can be taken directly to the airport in Jaipur, which lies at a distance of around seventy kilometres from the town of Dausa. Buses can be taken from Jaipur to Dausa after the journey in order to reach the place. Jaipur has a well connected airport with frequent flights to all local and international destinations. Regular flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Udaipur and Nagpur will be available for local air travel. Flight charges will range between Rs 3500 to 8000.

By Train : The town of Dausa has a railway station that has frequent trains to the cities and towns of Bhuj, Varanasi, Bareilly, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Delhi, Ajmer and Jammu Tawi. Trains will stop in the Dausa Railway Station for only two minutes or so, as it is not a major railway station. Train fares will range from Rs 150 to 300 depending on the distance covered.
