Dalweyn is a town in the Bari province of the autonomous Puntland region in northeastern Somalia.The city was first established by Bile Nuur, a well-known leader hailing from the Reer Zekeriye sub-clan of the Dashiishe Darod.Dalweyn is situated about 142 km south of Bosaso, near the town of Qardho. It is strategically located and is rich in natural resources.The town has a population of about 2000 inhabitants.
