Detail InformationEdit

Located next to the factory, the museum presents the history of glass making and exhibits some of the products made in the glass works. Unique pieces and polished coloured crystal items are still made by the ancient mouth blown method. The factory began production in Ajka in 1878 when the glass works from Úrkút was transferred here by the Zichy family. Production ceased in 1914, but restarted again in 1916. Today the factory employs over 1,500 people and its products are well known not only in Hungary but also throughout the World.
