Crescent Mills (formerly, Crescent town and Crescent) may be a census-designated place (CDP) in Plumas County, California, u. S.. Crescent Mills is found three.5 miles (5.6 km) southeast of Greenville. The population was 196 at the 2010 census, down from 258 at the 2000 census.
In 1821 Madonna A Zubea was born. Four years later Frank Joseph Stampfli was born. Once these 2 became adults they married. Frank Joseph Stampfli was born in Schweiz and immigrated to the u. S.. He then registered to Pioneer out West wherever the Stampfli family settled in what’s legendary these days as Crescent Mills, CA and Indian vale.
In 1867 Madonna A Stampfli died and was buried on the Stampfli Ranch making the family necropolis. A tall headstone marked Madonna A. Stampfli 1821-1867 was placed higher than her grave. Lewis Stampfli followed in 1869 and Frank joined his adult female within the family necropolis in 1892.
