Courtenay may be a town on the geographical area of island, within the state of British Columbia. It’s the biggest town (and solely “city”) within the space unremarkably called the Comox natural depression, and it’s the seat of the Comox natural depression Regional District that replaced the Comox-Strathcona Regional District.
Courtenay is simply four kilometer (2.5 mi) west of the city of Comox, 7 km (4.3 mi) northeast of the village of Cumberland, 5 km (3.1 mi) northwest of the unorganized settlement of Royston, and 108 kilometer (67 mi) northwest of town. The city, along side town and Victoria is home to The Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary’s), a Primary Reserve foot regiment of the Canadian Forces.
