The Contrabando may be a town among the massive Bend Ranch State Park, 9.5 miles (15.3 km) west of Lajitas, Texas on the Texas thruway one hundred seventy.
The Contrabando consists of a resourceful adobe building referred to as ‘La Casita’ and several other later additions that became a part of the Contrabando throughout its use as a motion-picture show set. The motion-picture show set was created in 1985 for the Roy Clark film Uphill all the method. The location has been used as a group for 9 motion-picture shows as well as John Sayles’ 1996 movie Lone Star; in addition as Dead Man’s Walk and Streets of Laredo, that were a part of the Lonesome Dove miniseries based mostly upon the novel by Larry McMurtry.
