Congregation Shomrei Emunah may be a person Orthodox house of God with a membership of over four hundred families. The house of God was established in 1971 within the Greenspring neighborhood of metropolis, Maryland. Rabbi Binyamin Marwick, erstwhile its interim rabbi, was put in as its rabbi in June 2010. The synagogue’s youth director is Dov Ocken.
The house of God was supported by Rabbi Benjamin Bak, World Health Organization LED the congregation from 1972 till 1989. His successor, Tzvi Hersh Weinreb, was the rabbi for thirteen years then became head of the Orthodox Union in 2002.
The shul incorporates a big variety of shiurim and course of instruction opportunities, as well as guest lecturers, regular shiurim in Daf Yomi, Amud Yomi, Chumash, Navi, and Halacha. There’s an amazing youth program LED by Dov Ocken, covering all ages from two to post highschool. The shul has weekly Shabbos youth teams and a awfully common youth quorum with a weekly kiddush.In 2007, the shul established a “Women of the spherical Table” organization (aka “sisterhood”) that sponsors Rosh Chodesh shiurim and regular events throughout the year.
