Census Bureau, the town includes a total space of six.5square miles (17Square kilometers), of which, 6.5square miles (17Square kilometers) of it’s land and zero.1square miles (0.26Square kilometers) of it (0.92%) is water. The world around Commerce is jam-packed with trees, rivers, and lakes. Commerce may be a town in Hunt County, Texas, u. S., placed in rural North Texas. The population was seven,669 at the 2000 census, but recent growth and its proximity to interstate thirty and therefore the japanese Metroplex has place the population around 9750. The town is home to Texas A&M University-Commerce, and lies within the northeast corner of the Dallas/Fort price Metroplex. The 1924 Texas Republican politician politico, George C. Butte, was reared on a farm close to Commerce.
