Clearing House (formerly, Clearinghouse) is AN unorganised community in mariposa lily County, California. it’s placed on the north bank of the Merced watercourse five miles (8 km) west of El Portal, at AN elevation of 1555 feet (474 m). The Clearinghouse post workplace operated from 1913 to 1933. The toponym comes from the Clearinghouse Mine, thus named because it was AN exchange place for gold bullion and certificates throughout the Panic of 1907.
