Clearing House (formerly, Clearinghouse) is AN unorganised community in mariposa lily County, California. it’s settled on the north bank of the Merced stream five miles (8 km) west of El Portal, at AN elevation of 1555 feet (474 m). The Clearinghouse post workplace operated from 1913 to 1933. The name comes from the Clearinghouse Mine, therefore named because it was AN exchange place for gold bullion and certificates throughout the Panic of 1907.
