Claremont may be a town in Sullivan County, New Hampshire, u. s.. it had been water power from the Sugar stream, however, that brought the city prosperity throughout the commercial Revolution. giant brick factories were designed on the stream, together with the Sunapee Mills, Monadnock Mills, Claremont Machine Works, Home Mills, Sanford & Rossiter, and Claremont producing Company. Principal product were cotton and woolen textiles, lathes and planers, still as paper. though like different geographical area mill cities, abundant trade touched away or closed the 20th-century, the city’s former prosperity is obvious in some fine Victorian architecture, together with the 1897 hall and theater.
