Madera may be a city and seat of the municipality of Madera within the mountains of the northwestern Mexican state of Chihuahua. As of 2005, the city had a complete population of fifteen,267.It is a work city, set within the mountains and therefore the lumber trade continues to be important. Madera is Spanish for “wood”, and there accustomed be an oversized U.S. Company with massive lumber mills, there’s still a part of the town known as “barrio americano” wherever some American-style picket homes still survive.
New producing industries have created new employment for the residents.It is at 2112 metres on top of water level and was supported in 1906.The city is found 276 kilometres northwest of the city, Chihuahua, and 536 klick southwest of Ciudad Juárez on the U.S. Border.
