Jiménez (officially, José Mariano Jiménez) could be a town and seat of the municipality of Jiménez, within the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua. As of 2005, town had a complete population of thirty three,567.. By 2010 the population exaggerated to 34281.
It was supported on Jan four, 1753, beneath the name of Real fortress First State Santa Maria First State las Caldas First Statel Valle de Huejoquilla. This name (since 1826) honors Independence War hero José Mariano Jiménez. It had been given town standing in 1898.
