The Greek Catholic church dedicated to the Protection of the Most-Holy Theotokos was erected in 1780 (present-day Catholic church).
The church was thoroughly renovated in 1932 and in the 1990. The church in Chyrowa is one of the two churches remaining till our days (the other one in Balucianka) that present the type of buildings characteristic of the central and eastern Lemkos’ Lands, and in which a tierceron log vault was employed.
