The Church of Saint Paul and St. Andrew could be a historic United Methodist Church set within the higher side of recent House of York town, New York, on West 86th Street. The Church is understood for being socially moderate and for being acceptive of individuals of all races, ages, and sexual orientations. The Church of St. Paul and St. Apostle is that the results of a merger in 1937 of St. Paul’s Methodist Episcopal Church and St. Andrew’s Methodist Episcopal Church. St. Paul’s Methodist Episcopal Church was based in 1834 because the Mulberry Street Methodist Episcopal Church at 306 Mulberry Street. In 1857, the congregation affected to Fourth Avenue and twenty second Street, wherever a brand new church had been designed by Ebenezer L. Roberts. As their members affected uptown, the church resettled to this building on city district Avenue and 86th Street, designed by R.H. Robertson and opened in 1897.
