Detail InformationEdit

St. Martin Church in Bukowiec is a wooden building erected in 1737-1742. The lower parts of the inside walls are decorated with folk motives. Worth seeing is also the open-work choir decoration. Vertical ornaments in the shape of the “wężyk generalski” – the so-called „general’s wavy line” are a remnant from the time when the general Kazimierz Sosnkowski was the church’s patron. The main altar with the incorporated stained-glass window includes sculpting elements from the 17th and 18th century. Two baroque side altars and the pulpit come from the first half of the 18th century.
