Chottanikkara Bhagavathy temple is one of the famous temple coming under the administration of Cochin Devaswom Board. The Goddess Rajarajesweri is worshipped here as Saraswathy in morning, Lakshmi at noon and Durga in the evening. Along with Lakshmi the idols of lord Narayana, Brahma, Siva, Ganesh, Subrahmanya and Sastha are also present on the same temple. The most important featival in Chottanikara Bhagavathy temple is ‘Makam Thozal’ which is celebrated in the month of Kumbham (February/March).The main poojas in the temple are pushpanjali, guruthy, sathru samhara pushpanjali, guruthi pushpanjali, lalitha sahasra namarchana, swayamvara pushpanjali, saraswatha pushpanjali, mruthyunjaya pushpanjali, lykyamathyam pushpanjali, ashtothara pushpanjali, bhagyasooktham pushpanjali and moolamanthra pushpanjali.
