Chorwad is a small village that is located along the coastal regions of the state of Gujarat. The place is located very close to Somnath and travelling to Somnath can be interesting day trip. The beaches are serene and clean. However the seas may be rough for a certain period, especially during the monsoon season. Chorwad is a popular place among the local population of the region and many tourists from other parts of the state also visit the place. The main building in the village is the Palace that was built by the Nawab of Junagadh and this has now been converted into a hotel and it is an interesting place to stay in. The palace was taken over by the tourism department and is the best resort that is available in the region. One can ask the local fishermen if they wish to take a ride into the sea. The boats are generally made of logs and do not have any safety features. However for those who are adventurous, this is a good option. Some of the beaches in the region have a rocky shoreline and this is a good place to witness sunsets and sunrises. Chorwad is an ideal place for nature buffs and for those who wish for a quiet getaway from the city.

By Air : There is no airport in Chorwad. The nearest Keshod Airport is located around 35 km from the beach town of Chorwad. This airports have a few flights operating from Mumbai. Taxis are available outside the airport; however it is advisable to book pick up services though the hotels as they are much safer. Taxis charge around Rs 7 per km for a non A/C sedan such as Tata Indica.

By Train : The closest railhead is located at Veraval, which is situated around 20 km away from the beach village. The station is connected to places such as Ahmadabad, Pune, Somnath and Trivandrum.

By BUS : State run buses connect the village to many of the nearby places and there are many private operators that offer services from places such as Somnath and other nearby cities as well.

By Taxi : Taxis and Auto rickshaws are easily available for moving about in the city.
