Chippewa Falls could be a town settled on the Chippewa watercourse in Chippewa County within the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Incorporated as a town in 1869, it’s the county courthouse of Chippewa County. The city’s name originated due to its location on the Chippewa watercourse, that is known as once the Ojibwa Native Americans. Chippewa is an alternate rendition of Ojibwa.
