Children’s deposit & Theatre of Maine is found within the Arts District of downtown Portland, Maine and options a good kind of interactive exhibits and activities for youngsters and families. Children’s deposit & Theatre of Maine exists to inspire discovery and imagination through exploration and play. The Children’s deposit of Maine was supported by the Junior League of Portland in 1976, gap in barely a number of rooms in Fort Williams park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The former Chamber of Commerce building on Free Street in downtown Portland. The 15,000-square-foot (1,400 m2) building has since been home to dozens of large-scale interactive exhibits, each permanent and rotating. In 2001, when careful assessment of community desires, the deposit selected to direct programming and exhibits toward kids half dozen months to ten years elderly, and selected 3 areas of focus: science education, time of life education and school of thought education.
