Detail InformationEdit
Chicago State University (CSU) could be a state university of the U.S. State of Illinois, settled in Chicago. The University could be a member-school of Thurgood Marshall school Fund. Cook County junior college was supported in 1867, mostly through the initiative of John F. Eberhart, the Commissioner of colleges for Cook County. Eberhart noted that Cook County faculties lagged way behind their counterparts within the town of Chicago, particularly in terms of the standard and competency of instructors. He convinced the County Commissioners to carry a tutor coaching institute in Gregorian calendar month 1860; its success convinced the commissioners of the requirement for a permanent college to coach lecturers. In March 1867 the Cook County Board of Supervisors created a standard college at Blue Island on a 2 year experimental basis. Daniel S. Wentworth was the primary principal.
