Located at a thousand Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, Illinois, USA, the Chicago biology Garden could be a 385-acre (156 ha) living plant repository placed on 9 islands that includes twenty four show gardens and encircled by four natural habitats: McDonald Woods, Dixon grassland, Skokie stream passageway, and Lakes and Shores. The Garden is open a day of the year. Admission is free however parking is $20 per car; free for Garden members.
The Chicago biology Garden is owned by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County and managed by the Chicago husbandry Society. It opened to the general public in 1972 and is home to the Joseph Regenstein, Jr. Faculty of the Chicago biology Garden, providing a categories in plant science, landscape style and farming arts. The middle for Teaching and Learning brings data on nature and plants to youngsters, teens and academics.
Horticultural medical aid and Community farming offer community stretch and repair programs. Through the Institutes of Plant Conservation and decorative Plant analysis, Garden scientists work on plant conservation, analysis and environmental initiatives. The mission of the Chicago biology Garden is to push the enjoyment, understanding and conservation of plants and therefore the plants.
