Cherryfield could be a city in Washington County, Maine, u. S. On the Narraguagus watercourse. It had been named for the wild cherries that after peppered the banks of the watercourse. The city bills itself because the “Blueberry Capital of the World”. Roughly seventy five acres (300,000 m2) on each side of the watercourse ar a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places referred to as the Cherryfield Historic District. This district contains a set of amount structures chemical analysis from c1750-1890. The city was 1st settled regarding 1760, and was originally a part of Baron Friedrich Wilhelm Ludolf Gerhard Augustin von Steuben, Maine. In line with the u. S. Office, the city features a total space of forty four.2 sq. Miles (114 sq.km), of which, 43.7 sq. Miles (113 sq.km) of it’s land and zero.5 sq. Miles (1.3 sq.km) of it (1.18%) is water. The city is home to 2 breeding pairs of bald eagles.
