The Château Ramezay could be a deposit and historic building on Notre-Dame Street in previous metropolis, opposite metropolis hall.Built in 1705 because the residence of then-governor of metropolis, Claude American state Ramezay, the Château was the primary building announced as a historical monument in Quebec and is that the province’s oldest personal history deposit. It had been selected a National Historic Sites of Canada in 1949.
Over the years, the Château modified house owners and functions many times, with Ramezay’s descendants merchandising the manor to the fur-trading Compagnie des Indes.
