Charpa Falls is one of the scenic locations in Thrissur. Situated close to the Athirappilly Falls (60 km fromThrissur), the waterfall is a part of River Chalakkudy. During monsoon months (June to August) it plunges on to the road. The height is just about 80 feet, although not impressive yet gives a breathtaking sight to the visitors. Close to the Charpa Falls is the Vachumaram, an ideal lake formation in the midst of the forest, which a tourist should never miss to visit to have a panoramic of natural beauty.
